UDL has rightly taken a place on the mantle of effective and essential tools in teachers' repertoires. However, some experts believe UDL's greatest asset (its inherent flexibility for supporting creation of meaningful learning experiences) is also its greatest weakness (you can't be precise in practice or measurement when a framework is so broad). In this UDL Talk, a longtime skeptic of UDL offers thoughts on the need to be more precise in how we think about and measure practices under the UDL framework, and delivers a challenge to the field to be more precise on behalf of students with disabilities and others who struggle.
