This presentation will explore a UDL implementation project at two Baltimore City Public Charter Schools deeply engaged in Arts Integration. City Neighbors Charter School (K-8) and City Neighbors High School began UDL work in order to increase accessibility and reduce barriers to learning for all students. Engaging in UDL implementation within an already student-centric learning environment brings unique perspectives and questions regarding changing instructional practices and teacher mindset. This presentation seeks to examine both the implementation journey of these two urban public schools, as well as provide robust examples of the marriage of UDL and Arts Integration for better student learning.
